Argentina is well known for its Tango dance and music, also famous for its food, its unique beef meat, delicate wines and of course its achievements in the world’s game: Football. Its Cinema however, historically the most developed in Latin America... for over 100 years, is surprisingly less known.

In the year 2011, over 110 feature films were produced in Argentina, making it the most prolific producer of films in South America, you have probably seen “ The Secret in their eyes” – Oscars® Best Foreign Language Film at the 82nd Academy Awards or have just recently heard about Bérénice Bejo for her role in the multi-awarded “The Artist”, it also true that many others films and many other Argentine talented artists have won awards all around the world a reflection of a lively Film industry enjoying a ‘renaissance’ in film.
